Watch the film’s Trailer below
The trailer begins with a news report about the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. Then we see a group of villagers watching the same news on TV, wondering how they will deal with the pandemic if it comes to their village. The trailer then introduces the protagonist, Naren, a 14-year-old boy (not a young PM Modi it seems as the story is set in 2020).
Naren aspires to be a sarpanch when he grows up. Flashbacks show an even younger Naren participating in Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan while the slightly older Naren is selling tea, which comes as no surprise. The film does not believe in subtlety, as the parallels to Prime Minister Modi are quite obvious. Naren’s school uniform is similar to that of the RSS, of which PM Modi was a member. Lines like ‘Naren ne soch li to kar ke hi maanega’ (If Naren decides, he will do it) highlight Naren’s tenacity and determination. And Naren has decided that the Covid-19 virus will not be allowed into his village. The movie claims to be based on true events.
“Mulk and Dhakad Producer Deepak Mukut” had earlier said, “Bal Naren is not a just a film but a thought process that shakes up the society. At Soham Rockstar we believe in creating content that has strong social message and has the potential to bring in the much needed change in our country today. We have a fabulous Swachh Bharat Mantra given by our PM, and we need to take that forward. We need all support for this film from our industry too”.
Actress “Jacqueline Fernandez” supports film Bal Naren’s cleanliness movement by joining ‘Versova Beach Cleaning Drive’. Sharing about the same Jacqueline Fernandez says, “I’m so proud of producer Deepak Mukut for making this amazing film Bal Naren on such an important subject. It’s really supporting a movement that we should all be concerned about. The film stands for Swachh Bharat and I really feel that as an industry and an artist we really need to support such films. I’m happy that people like him are taking up such social responsibility so thank you so much Deepak. It’s really important and I’m going to support the cleanliness drive. Your film’s tag line one person can create that change is so apt and true. We are all going to be there!”
Producer “Deepak Mukut” talking about the film shares, “If India has to be carbon neutral every kid has to become Bal Naren. What film ‘Bal Naren’ pledges to make India carbon neutral and make the move Tax Free. ‘Bal Naren’ is inspired by a real-life hero of a 14-year boy who takes up the challenge and how he successfully manages to bring change to his village. If every city and village follows Bal Naren’s example, I’m sure India will be absolutely Swachh Bharat very soon. We do hope our govt will take cognizance of this film by making it tax-free so the message is spread wide to the masses, especially to schools and colleges. Bal Naren pledges to make India Carbon Neutral and the film tax free”.
Talking about the film, director “Pawan Nagpal” further states, “This film is very relevant in today’s times in terms of the situation we have gone through in last 2-3 years full of doomy atmosphere and humanitarian crisis. The subject is very crucial in order to avoid any pandemic-like situation in future as it depicts the importance of hygiene, proper awareness and cleanliness along with unity. I feel the message that we are conveying through this movie should reach out to every child in our country which will educate them. Hence, if we get support from authorities in making it tax-free, more masses will watch this film and get inspired especially the youth. This will not only educate the children but impact the society as a whole”.
The film Is set to Hit the Big Screens on 14th October in cinemas.
