Brahmastra’s : New Promo Release Introduces many “Ancient Indian Astras”

Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language fantasy adventure film written and directed by him. It is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Mukerji under the production companies Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Marijke DeSouza.

Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni star in it. The film is intended to be the first in a trilogy as part of its own cinematic universe known as Astraverse.

Brahmastra was announced in July 2014 but was delayed by several years. Production and release of the film was delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 Panademic.

The film is scheduled for release on 9th September, 2022 in standard formats, 3D, IMAX 3D and 4DX, 3D by Star Studios in India, and by Walt Disney Studios Motion Picturs worldwide.

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji shared a pre-release promo of the film. The over one-minute long video introduces its viewers to the many characters of the film including Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna.

As he writes, “Experience Brahmāstra in cinemas on September 9th. A never-seen-before world of Ancient Indian Astras in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D”.

The video begins with Mouni Roy in search of Brahmastra, then transitions to Amitabh Bachchan, who shares a secret with Ranbir Kapoor, entrusting him with the responsibility of saving the world. Finally, the promo introduces viewers to the various "Ancient Indian Astras," such as Nandi Astra, Vanarastra, Prabhastra, Pawanastra, Gajastra, Nag Dhanush, Jalastra, and Agnyastra.

The makers of the film Brahmastra also shared a video on Twitter that shows Ranbir, Alia, Nagarjuna, Mouni and Amitabh preparing for their intense action scenes.
