Chakda Xpress is a sports drama based on the life of former Indian captain and fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. Prosit Roy directed the film, which is produced by Karnesh Ssharma's Clean Slate Filmz.

Jhulan Nishit Goswami born November 25, 1982 is a former Indian international cricketer and captain of the Indian women's cricket team. Goswami, an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium fast, is regarded as one of the greatest female fast bowlers of all time, one of the fastest bowlers in women's cricket history, and the fastest contemporary bowler.

What a Coincidence is must say! In August 2018, Goswami announced her retirement from WT20Is. And Anushka Sharma was seen last in Zero, a 2018 film directed by Aanand L Rai and co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. This is also her first film since the birth of her daughter Vamika, whom she and husband Virat Kohli welcomed into their lives in 2021. Anushka has also been working hard on her training for the film, and she frequently posts pictures and videos on her social media accounts.

Today, the ‘Chakda Xpress' actress Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram handle and posted a photo where she is seen sharing a glimpse of her character Jhulan Goswami that she is portraying in the film.

Chakda Xpress is inspired by Jhulan Goswami’s life. She is former Indian international cricketer and captain of the Indian women's cricket team. Talking about Chakda Xpress, the actor earlier said in a statement, “This film is a dramatic retelling of several instances that shaped Jhulan Goswami’s life and also women’s cricket”.

Chakda Xpress will have a OTT release on the most popular platform Netflix.
