Double XL is an upcoming social comedy written by Mudassar Aziz and directed by Satramm Ramani. It is produced by T-Series, Wakaoo Films, and Elemen3 Entertainment.Starring Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, Wakaoo Films, and Mudassar Aziz present Double XL in association with T-Series Films. The film is a collaboration between Wakaoo Films, Elemen3 Entertainment, and Reclining Seats Cinema.
Along with a talented ensemble cast, ‘Double XL’ also stars Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra as the male protagonists. Fans will also be treated to a special surprise as cricketer Shikhar Dhawan makes his Hindi film debut with ‘Double XL.’ Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the film Double XL, which is headlined by Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha.
The makers of the film dropped the film’s trailer today, Wednesday October 12, on their Official YouTube Channel named “T-Series” and wrote, “Presenting official trailer of #DoubleXL. A story of friendship and dreams filled with masti is coming in cinemas near you on 4th Nov 2022”.

As depicted in the trailer, ‘Double XL’ appears to be a fun ride with the potential to spark social conversation about the taboo subject. While Huma Qureshi plays a sports presenter, Sonakshi Sinha plays an aspiring stylist, both of whom gained weight for the film.
As director Satramm Ramani said, “This is an important film that addresses a coming-of-age subject in the most light-hearted and fun manner. Double XL was a film waiting to be made”. ‘Sonakshi Sinha’ on the film said, “I honestly believe that women are really going to connect with the film and relate to it on many levels. It’s unabashed, unpretentious and speaks to just about everyone”.
To this, Huma Qureshi further added, “What started off as a fun, casual conversation amongst friends culminated into this film. It was the best impromptu decision we made and I couldn’t be more excited. The subject excited me because it’s something that must be addressed through pop culture”.
This is Zaheer Iqbal’s second film. Sharing his excitement for the film, he said, “I’m extremely proud to be a part of this film and it’s high time we come to terms with the fact that beauty doesn’t correlate to one’s size or numbers on a scale”.
The film will hit the theatres on November 4, 2022.
