Kapala is an upcoming Kannada horror thriller movie. Directed by Vinay Yadunandan, Produced by Soumya K Shetty. The music for the film is composed by Sachin Basrur. Cinematography is done by Praveen M. Prabhu, the film editing is done by Shanth Kumar, Krishnanunni N.R. is the sound designer and special effects to the film are given by Ravi Hiremath. The movie stars Abhimanyu Prajwal, Aryan Chaudary, Sushma Gowda and Yamuna Srinidhi in the lead roles.
The film begins from Bangalore. In a city apartment, where two siblings and their friend reside. Unexpectedly, the younger brother gets into serious trouble that almost kills him.
The name of the film ‘Kapala’ in itself is haunting as kapala is a skull cup ritual tool used in both Buddhist and Hindu Tantra. They are frequently intricately carved or mounted with precious metals and jewels, particularly in Tibet.
However, the Trailer for the film is out now.
The makers of the film released the Trailer on their Official YouTube Channel named ‘SkarCinemas’ and wrote, “ A thrilling, horror – ride awaits you with Kapala! Starring Abhimanyu Prajwal, Pratiksha Gowda, Aryan Chaudary, Sushma Gowda, Giriraj BM, Ashok Hedge, Yamuna Srinidhi this spooky tale hits screens in September 16th 2022!

The trailer begins with a voiceover which says your house is the victim of kashmora experiment and you shouldn’t be present in that village by evening you should return back. And then in the next moment it says this is the temple of Nippujadevi and then the voice says it’s not a temple but a cemetery. Then weird and strange things begin to occur as it was a full moon day that day and there were strange sounds heard from Sanju’s room as a boy approaches in panic towards his room with a torch in his hand and takes a close look at it by flashing the light he sees Sanju facing at the wall and not reacting as the boy calls his name and then suddenly a face appears and then fast cuts are shown ending the trailer with the name of film.
As the genre of the film is horror thriller it keeps it completely up to the mark with its BGM and the trailer shows that elements of terror, fear and panic which promises to resemble with it’s name ‘Kapala’.
The film is slated to release on 16th September, 2022.
