Mili is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language survival thriller film directed by Mathukutty Xavier, being a remake of his own Malayalam film Helen (2019), from a screenplay by Ritesh Shah. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor as a woman stuck in a freezer fighting to stay alive, alongside Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa.

‘Helen’ won the National award for the best debut film of a director in Malayalam. The film which is a survival thriller inspired by a real-life incident that took place abroad was widely appreciated for its novel execution and performance by critics and audiences alike. At the 67th National Film Awards, ‘Helen’ also won an award for Best make up artist (Ranjith Ambady).

Mili will mark Janhvi’s first professional collaboration with her father, Boney Kapoor. The survivalthriller, which is based on true events, features Janhvi as Mili Naudiyal, a B.Sc. Nursing Graduate.

The makers of the film released the film’s Official Teaser on their Official YouTube Channel named “Zee Studios” and wrote, “DYING TO SURVIVE! HERE IS THE FIRST LOOK OF #MILI Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, and directed by Mathukutty Xavier, 'Mili' is scheduled to release in cinemas on 4th November 2022”.

The teaser begins with Janhvi being trapped inside a freezer. Because of the temperature inside, her face has turned red. She is fighting every second to stay alive inside the freezer, rubbing her palms and banging on the walls. Sunny Kaushal can also be seen in one of the frames. He appears to be looking for someone. Mili, perhaps?

Janhvi took to Instagram to share the film’s Teaser and tagging the film’s cast and crew wrote, “TEASER OUT NOW #mili”

Janhvi’s uncle, actor Sanjay Kapoor spoke for all of us when he said, “Looks great.” He also added a raising hand and a red heart to his comment.

Janhvi Kapoor was most recently seen in the film Good Luck Jerry. The film was released on Disney + Hostar on July 29.

Janhvi Kapoor is also starring in Dostana 2 and Bawaal alongside Varun Dhawan. She will then appear in Mr and Mrs Mahi with Rajkummar Rao. Janhvi and Rajkummar previously collaborated on Roohi.

‘Mili’ is set to hit the Big Screens on November 4, 2022.
