The trailer begins with Sheeba Chadha standing in the middle of a road with a spooky expression, while we can hear in the background, “This is a made-up story. There are many evil powers in it, but don’t be scared because it has nothing to do with reality.” Ishaan and Siddhant, who have the ability to see ghosts, are introduced in the following scene. Their lives are turned upside down when they meet Katrina Kaif, who plays a ghost in the film. She approaches them with a business idea.
In the trailer, they are on a dangerous mission to capture ghosts so that they can achieve moksha; liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth. Their journey, however, will be nothing short of a roller coaster ride as they battle Aatma Ram, played by Jackie Shroff.
Kartina Kaif took to her Instagram handle and shared the film’s Trailer writing, “Iss line ki ab sabhi liney khul gayi hai, kripya phone lagaye aur #Phonebhoot ko bulaye… #PhoneBhootTrailer out now”

We can tell from the trailer that the film will be a crazy fun adventure that turns pop culture and film situations on their heads to create a quirky world of ghosts and gags. Phone Bhoot has an interactive feel to it, with characters breaking the fourth wall and immersing the audience in banter and adventure. It’s essentially a tale of good versus evil.
When asked asked about the film, Farhan said, “The thing is, your story should be good and film entertaining. All kinds of films are made again and again. There have been thousands of love stories, dramas, action, revenge dramas. Even this is one genre. The only thing is, your story shouldn’t be similar to what has already been done before. That’s what we have attempted”.
Phone Bhoot will be this year’s second horror comedy after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and in line with a series of films like Stree, Bhoot Police and Roohi to tap into a genre, which has seen mixed results at the box office. While the audience has shown a strong preference for this intriguing and entertaining genre, we can anticipate Phone Bhoot to be one of those films that will be a lot of fun to watch.
The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on November 4, 2022.
