The Fame Game is a Netflix original Hindi-language family thriller drama created by Sri Rao and directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli. Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Mulay, Lakshvir Saran, and Muskkaan Jaferi star in the series, which is produced by Karan Johar and Somen Mishra under the banner Dharmatic Entertainment.

The Season 1 of the series consisted of eight-episodes which followed the disappearance of popular actress Anamika, played by Madhuri, India's most famous actress. A search for her is then launched, gradually chipping away at the flawless facade of her life and family, revealing painful truths. It premiered on Netflix on 25 FFebruar, 2022.

The series received positive reviews from critics. India TV gave the series 3 and a half stars out of five and wrote 'Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Kapoor and ensemble deliver pitch-perfect family drama'. It further added 'The Fame Game on Netflix takes the dysfunctional family trope and packs it with suspense and drama, making it an enjoyable and binge-worthy series.

Despite the fact that the first season of the show received positive feedback from viewers, Bollywood Hungama has learned that the OTT streaming giant has decided to remove the second season from its catalogue.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the source stated,"Though Netflix India has dropped the show for now, if in case it was the content, the same can be reworked and adjusted. Once done, the second season can be reviewed by the OTT platform and even re-added to their catalogue. Right now, Netflix is concentrating on expanding a catalogue that features good content that will appeal and connect with the mass audience in India”.

Despite the fact that there has been no official confirmation from Netflix.
