Yashoda is an upcoming Indian science fiction thriller film written and directed by duo Hari–Harish. Produced by Sridevi Movies, it is simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil languages. The film stars Samantha as the titular character alongside Unni Mukundan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
The teaser for Samantha's Yashoda was released by the movie’s producers on Friday on their Official YouTube Channel in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The teaser starts with the scene where Samantha is seen sitting in the waiting area at a gynaecologist’s clinic with other ladies sitting besides her and then a lady doctor calls her in and tells Samantha she is pregnant. The doctor then counsels Samantha to take care of herself, but Samantha's life is playing out exactly the opposite of every piece of advice and we see yashoda doing the same activities. However, a series of incidents force Yashoda to live dangerously, endangering her health.
Samantha can be seen pulling off daring stunts in the teaser. Samantha promises a film packed with action, from being chased by a dog in a jungle to breaking a glass window to saving her life from an unidentified character.
The film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the lead roles, was Samantha’s most recent appearance.
She will soon make her debut on a global stage in the movie Arrangements Of Love, in which she portrays a bisexual detective. After she made an appearance in Raj and DK’s Amazon Prime Video series ‘The Family Man', Samantha expanded her audience throughout all of India. She reportedly also stars in their web series ‘Citadel’. Priyanka Chopra stars in the Russo Brothers series of the same name, but the series has numerous spin-offs around the globe, making it a part of the extended universe. According to reports, Samantha will appear in the show’s Indian adaptation.
Samantha will also be seen in the movie Shaakuntalam, directed by Gunasekhar, in addition to Yashoda.
The release date for “Yashoda” hasn’t been announced by the producers.
