Dhanush & Ken Scott At Trailer Launch Of Film 'The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir'
Posted On: 15 June 2019The trailer of the much-awaited Hollywood film 'The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir' starring Dhanush is finally out. After making waves at the international cinematic front, the film is now all set to hit the screens on June 21. The movie is based on the book by Romain Puértolas and it revolves around an Indian street magician's journey to Paris and is directed by Canadian filmmaker Ken Scott.
At the trailer launch event, Dhanush stole the hearts away as he entered looking dapper in a brown suit, sporting his thick beard at the event. His wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth looked beautiful beside him and opted for an elegant white saree.
Dhanush said that he is very thankful for all the love the audience has given him. On completing 17 years in the industry, Dhanush said that he is very blessed and thankful for the audience love.
Talking about 'Raanjhanaa' completing six years, the actor said he was very fortunate to get a good script and a director like Aanand L. Rai and the film was phenomenal and he hopes Fakir gets the same response.
On being quizzed whether he is teaming up again with director Kartik for a Rajinikanth film, the actor dismissed the reports are rumours and said it's not true.
Speaking about the release date of the film, the actor said that 21st June was the day when his Bollywood debut 'Raanjhanaa', and six years after he is making his Hollywood debut on the same date. Adding further, Dhanush said his son's birthday also falls on the same day.
Speaking about the film, director Ken Scott said it was a very lovely project to work on and was very grateful for the opportunity to work with an actor like Dhanush who is very marvellous and talented. The director said Dhanush has the ability to get into the character which is very important.
Scott said its an international movie, then shot in Mumbai, Belgium, France, Italy, and people were working on the project from everywhere so it was an exceptional project to work on.
A Tamil version of the film, which is titled Pakkiri, will also hit the screens in Tamil Nadu for his ardent fans.
