URI Movie's Success Interview with Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Mohit Raina

Without an inch of doubt, Uri: The Surgical Strike touched millions of hearts with the bravery of the Indian soldiers while giving a befitting reply to the Uri terror strike. Uri released on 11 January and the movie’s success is creating buzz all over. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie got a “flying start” at the box office. The military drama earned Rs 8.20 crore on its first day and is expected to do well in the coming days. Director Aditya Dhar attempted a recreation of what, perhaps, transpired on the fateful night of 29 September when Indians carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan. The Quint caught up with Yami Gautam, Vicky Kaushal and Mohit Raina after the release of the film to learn more about the stars’ reactions to the opening. It’s a blissful feeling to know that the audience has connected to the essence of the film said Vicky Kaushal. The Indian Army saw the film and they couldn’t find a single fault. Such a movie on Indian Army has not been made so far in Bollywood said Yami Gautam. If I look back right now, I have waited quite a long time for this moment and it’s finally come and it’s here in flying colours. I couldn’t have asked for more said Mohit Raina.
