2 States (2014)

Krish Malhotra and Ananya Swaminathan are a culturally opposite couple who embark on a romantic journey. They meet at the IIM-Ahmedabad College and fall in love during the programme. After the programme concludes and they plan to marry, complications occur. Krish and Ananya are from two separate Indian states. Ananya, a Tamilian Brahmin from Chennai, and Krish, a North Indian Punjabi boy from Delhi. They make a deliberate decision to wait until their parents consent before marrying. When their parents meet, everything goes downhill. The wedding is being opposed by the parents due to a cultural clash. The pair faces a difficult fight to turn their love story into a love marriage. Because it is easy to fight and rebel, but much more difficult to persuade. Would Krish and Ananya's love for each other be enough to get them through the battles? Will they be able to persuade their parents to attend their wedding?
