Aaja Nachle (2007)

Madhuri plays a theatre actress in Aaja Naachley. The film is a lighthearted musical about a woman who uses dance to bring happiness to the people of a small town. In addition to Madhuri, the film features Kunal Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Divya Dutta, and Akshaye Khanna. No other film could have been a more fitting return to Bollywood for an actress who claims that dancing awakens spirituality than Yashraj Films 'Aaja Naachley'. Madhuri Dixit has returned to the arc lamps of tinsel town after a five-year hiatus after her last release (Devdas in 2002). Many filmmakers vied for Madhuri's signature, but she only agreed to work with producer Aditya Chopra on the film Aaja Naachley, directed by ace cinematographer Anil Mehta.
