Aśoka (2001)

Asoka's exile is depicted in this novel, as is his love for a rebel princess. The film also includes When Asoka reclaims his kingdom, he declares war, in which he loses the princess who was fighting on the opposing side. In order to spread goodwill, he became a Buddhist follower out of guilt and repentance.
