Badmaash Company (2010)

For the average Indian in the 1990s, life was quite different. Consumerism hadn't yet taken hold. It lacked the majority of Western luxuries. In reality, everything imported was excellent, and everything Indian was acceptable. Badmaash Company is an extraordinary tale about four ordinary youngsters Karan (Shahid Kapoor), Bulbul (Anushka Sharma), Chandu (Vir Das), and Zing (Meiyang Chang) who came together to start an import business of items yuppie Indians wished for in the 1990s in middle class Bombay (as it was known then). What made their company such a huge success was that they discovered a way to beat the machine and quickly rose to the top of their industry, realising their one dream of making fast money by doing something wrong - the right way!
