The forts of Shivaji Maharaj, the most prominent symbol of Hindavi Swarajya, have long been forgotten. On the same walls where the courageous mawlas spilt their blood for Swarajya, the once gorgeous fort above this bustling town lies in ruins, stained with tobacco-laden spit, debris, empty beer bottles, and lovers expressing their love for each other.
