Battalion 609 (2019)

The plot revolves around a cricket match between the Indian Army and the Pakistan Army that goes horribly wrong, and tells the storey of Battalion 609 soldiers fighting the Taliban. The match between India and Pakistan has been cancelled following an assault on the Indian army near the Line of Control. Anwar Hussein, a Pakistani soldier who enjoys cricket and was looking forward to the match, tosses a cricket bat across the LOC and accuses the Indian army and people of being cowards. The Indian army, enraged, throws a ball at them. Soon after, they have a verbal spat, which leads to the two teams agreeing to play a cricket match. The losing team will be relegated to an eighteen-kilometer walk back to their starting point.
