Buddha Mar Gaya (2007)

1h 33mins| Comedy | 17th August 2007

Laxmikant Kabadiya, also known as LK, is one of India's wealthiest industrialists. He rose from selling scrap to becoming a building magnate. His conglomerate is about to launch an initial public offering (IPO) worth Rs. 5000 crore, which will make it one of the country's largest companies. The thought of all that money makes LK's family salivate, including his spinster twin sister Prerna, his two sons Ranjeet and Sameer, their wives Shruti and Anju, and Ranjeet's daughters Sanjana and Namrata, as well as Sameer's son Pawan. Unfortunately for them all, fate has a cruel sense of humour. LK dies while copulating with a starlet who is pretending to be the heroine of a film that LK expects to make the night before the IPO opens. The family is bewildered and distressed. Not because a loved one has passed away, but because no one wants to buy their stock now. So, on the advice of their family guru, Vidyut Baba, the family agrees to conceal LK's death for two days, before all of the shares have been sold. They have no idea what a bizarre chain of events will ensue as a result of their deception.
