Dhoop highlights one of India's most serious corruption problems. The plot centers on the family of an Indian soldier killed in the Kargil war. Following his death, the government agrees to provide his family with a gas pump. When the family is forced to deal with outright corruption in order to obtain a gas pump, problems arise.
