Sweety is a young Punjabi girl who has to deal with her overbearing traditional family who wants to marry her off to a young writer who adores her. Sweety, on the other hand, keeps a secret close to her heart: she is a lesbian in love with someone else, and she is afraid that revealing the truth will cause her family and community to reject her true love.
