Eklavya: The Royal Guard (2007)
Eklavya [Amitabh Bachchan], a royal guard of the Rajasthan citadel, is caught in a time loop. He only exists to protect the fort, the dynasty, and the king, Prince Harshwardhan [Saif Ali Khan], who is currently residing in London. The sudden death of the queen, Rani Suhasinidevi [Sharmila Tagore], drives the Prince back to the kingdom he had left behind, unable to cope with the suffocating customs of his country. Farmers are being evicted from their lands, creating unrest in the kingdom. Rana Jaywardhan [Boman Irani], inspired by his brother, Rana Jyotiwardhan [Jackie Shroff], backs the atrocities committed against the helpless peasants. Over the phone, the king receives a death threat. Pannalal Chohar [Sanjay Dutt], a brash police officer, is summoned to investigate. In the middle of the chaos, the fort's closely guarded secrets are revealed.
