Fan (2016)

FAN tells the story of Gaurav (Shah Rukh Khan), a 20-year-old whose life revolves around mega-actor Aryan Khanna (Shah Rukh Khan), or God, as he refers to him. Gaurav sets out from the backstreets of Delhi on a journey to Mumbai, the city of dreams, to wish his God a happy birthday. After all, he is Aryan's most ardent supporter and bears a striking resemblance to him. How difficult can it be for the world's biggest fan to meet the world's biggest celebrity? When things don't go as planned, Gaurav's devotion to his God becomes a dangerous obsession that crosses the thin line. FAN will peel away at both Gaurav and Aryan's personalities and characters in an edge-of-your-seat thriller, leaving us wondering who to sympathise with and who to cheer for as the two men discover people inside themselves that even they didn't know existed. Can we really choose a side? After all, Superstars are human beings, and each of us is a FAN.
