Farz (2001)

Arjun Singh (Om Puri) and his brother-in-law Tayaji (Dara Singh) both work for the police department, but when Tayaji is killed in the line of duty, Arjun's family is devastated. His death has shattered the lives of his wife Rukmani (Farida Jalal), daughter Kajal (Preity Zinta), and son Rahul, and Arjun soon fears that the same person who killed his brother-in-law will come after him or his kin. Karan Singh (Sunny Deol), his new partner, is very controversial in his methods of obtaining justice and can sometimes violate the rules. Arjun is also enraged that his daughter has formed a romantic interest in Karan. Gawa Firozi (Jackie Shroff) and his brother Sikander soon terrorise the neighbourhood (Mukesh Tiwari). To apprehend and avoid them, the two officers must work together.
