Filmistaan (2014)

Sunny, a friendly Bollywood fan and aspiring actor, travels to Rajasthan with an American crew to work on a documentary film. An Islamic terrorist group kidnaps him one day after pack-up. When the group leader discovers that the incompetent terrorist mistook their prisoner for an American crew member, he agrees to hold him hostage before the original target is found. Sunny finds himself surrounded by weapons and pathani-clad guards on the enemy's border. The house in which he is imprisoned belongs to a Pakistani whose business is based on bringing back pirated Hindi films every time he crosses the border. Sunny earns brownie points from his stern guards for being on the same page. The two factions soon discover they have a human and cultural connection in common.
