Gali Gali Chor Hai (2012)
Bharat, who lives in Bhopal, is the quintessential aam aadmi. He works as a bank cashier and, like all bankers, has a trusted sidekick in the form of his scooter. He also works as a part-time actor, portraying Lord Hanuman in a local Ramleela skit. His wife, Nisha, is a schoolteacher, and his father, Shivnarayan, is a patriotic, idealistic man who dreams of a nation free of corruption. Then there's Amita, the unwelcome visitor who works at a call centre. Nisha is slightly nervous about her marriage because she is a relatively young thing. Nisha has high hopes for her husband, who she wants to advance from cashier to bank manager. Bharat, on the other hand, has other objectives. He aspires to be Ram, the main character in Ramleela. Since he is the younger brother of MLA Manku Tripathi, Sattu Tripathi, an extremely bad actor, is cast as Ram without opposition. Bharat is disliked by both Tripathi brothers for various reasons. Sattu is overshadowed on stage by Bharat's superior acting abilities, resulting in a rivalry between the two. Manku, on the other hand, is enraged with Bharat because the extra space in the latter's house is now being used by Mohanlal, Manku's opponent, as a re-election campaign room. Bharat's table-fan is then stolen one day. Parshuram Khushwaah, a police constable, informs Bharat that the local paanwala, Bacchu Gulkand, will testify in court that the crime was committed by none other than Chunnu Farishta, the master burglar.
