Gippi, a 14-year-old girl who lives in Simla with her mother Pappi and younger brother Booboo, is a 14-year-old girl. She is overweight and shy, and she is unsure how to deal with the physical, mental, and social changes that come with puberty. She is a backbencher at school and is continuously harassed by the famous queen-bee Shamira, and at home, she is attempting to cope with living in a broken home. She falls madly in love with an older, brooding heartbreaker in the midst of all this turmoil. When her love story ends in humiliation and she is publicly scorned, she tries to regain control of her life by accepting Shamira's challenge to run against her in the school elections. Whatever the result, Gippi ensures she has a good time along the way, filling it with delectable sweets, amusing teachers, school crushes, and Shammi Kapoor dances. Gippi is a coming-of-age tale about an average, overweight girl who learns to love herself for who she is over the course of the film.
