It's a Wonderful Afterlife (2010)

In this charming comedy romp about an Indian Punjabi mother who takes her fascination with marriage into frighteningly funny territory, My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Shaun of the Dead collide. Mrs. Sethi, a widow, is heartbroken at the prospect of her only daughter being lonely and miserable. She may be plump and opinionated, but she would make an excellent wife for some lucky man if given the chance. Mrs Sethi, who can no longer bear the rudeness of families who refuse to accept her daughter, takes matters into her own hands in the only way she knows how. Suddenly, a police manhunt for a serial killer who prepares a murderous curry begins. Mrs Sethi doesn't feel too bad for herself until the ghosts of her victims return to haunt her, as they can't be reincarnated until their killer dies. Mrs Sethi has no qualms about killing herself because she will be reunited with her deceased husband, but how can she do so before her beloved daughter marries?
