The story of Shyamlala Gupta and Radhika Sharma is told in Jigariyaa, which is based on true events. Whereas Shaamu spends his time in Agra writing poetry and being respected by his peers, Raadha works as a social worker for her illustrious father. These two fell in love the moment they see each other for the first time. As their feelings for each other grow stronger, fate intervenes and the two lovers are torn apart.
