Jugni (2016)

Vibhavari (Vibs), a young free-spirited female music director from Mumbai, is preparing for her big break in the Hindi film industry. When work and her live-in partner, Sid, reach a breaking point, she takes to the road with a glimmer of hope: to find music. The journey takes her to a Punjabi village in search of Bibi Saroop, a local singer whose voice holds the promise that Vibs is looking for. But, as luck would have it, Mastana, Bibi's son and a talented singer, is the voice and man who finds his way into Vibs' heart. Jugni is about striking a balance, making difficult choices while attempting to soften the blows, coping with life's practised drastic turns and unpredictabilities, and finding a place to call home; home of the heart, where the firefly shines brightest.
