Khamosh Pani (2004)

In the late 1970s, widowed Ayesha (Kirron Kher) lives with her beloved son, Saleem, in Pakistan (Aamir Malik). Before two radical Muslims move into Saleem's village, Saleem is a happy but slightly bored adolescent. Saleem, like the majority of the villagers, initially maintains a healthy distance — and a sense of humor — from the fundamentalists. However, the radicals gradually win him over, transforming the adolescent into someone who is utterly unrecognizable to his bewildered mother.
