Manjhi - The Mountain Man (2015)

The film is based on the true story of Dasrath Manjhi, who, for love, broke a mountain. Dashrath Manjhi was a low-caste man who lived in a small village cut off from the rest of the world by a rocky mountain range. For him, every day was a fight for survival. Phaguniya, his wife, was the love of his life. His wife slips, falls, and dies one day while climbing the mountain to bring him food. Dashrath, overcome with sorrow, tries to carve a path through the mountain so that no one else suffers the same fate. He hammers away at the rocks for 22 years, all by himself, with only a hammer and a chisel, until the route is cut out of the mountain. It's an uplifting tale about the triumph of human willpower, as well as a romantic love story.
