Noor (2017)
Noor (Sonakshi Sinha) is a restless, intelligent, and impulsive woman on the lookout for love in a city that is both stressful and addictive. She and her two best friends, Saad, a young restaurateur who shuttles between London (tentative) and Mumbai, and Zaara, a cool Parsi who DJs at various nightclubs in the area, form the centre of a coming-of-age storey set in Mumbai, the ever-changing metropolis that is home to over 21 million people. Malti, her absentee maid, lives with Noor and her aunt. She serves as a reporter for the Daily News, a local television station, where she is tasked with covering socialite affairs, bakery openings, and other mundane events. She is looking for meaning in her life, as she is frustrated with her work and life in general. It may be in the form of a smart and attractive guy, or a story with substance and depth. Noor is truly faced with the task of righting a wrong and trying her best to correct a mess that she has put herself in while in search of a story. Is she, however, brave enough to stand by her words? From humble beginnings, a poor man grows to become a well-known public figure. Despite his difficult upbringing and a car accident that left him partly blind and deaf, the man persists in achieving his goals.
