The landscape ( Pushkar- Ajmer) resounds with distinct voices as Om rides his scissor-legged bicycle through it: his father's rebellions against the earth, his brave girlfriend, her gentle suitor, the searching eyes of the runaway actress, the local businessman trying to shield the diamonds he has shat.. the tadpoles' rebellion. For Alchemy, the filmmaker embraces the terrifying, exquisite vitality of puberty in order to joyfully shake open the landscapes of his own youth, unearthing and combining politics with mythology, techno music with biology.
