Phas Gaye Re Obama (2010)

The comedy Phas Gaye Re Obama is set against the backdrop of the global economic downturn. The film follows Om Shashtri, an Indian-American citizen who loses all of his riches overnight due to the global recession and is forced to vacate his home by the bank unless he pays up $100,000 (mortgage amount) within 30 days. Om travels to India to sell a small piece of ancestral property because he has no other choice. However, he is abducted by a recession-hit underworld gang who believe he is still a millionaire just days after arriving in India. What becomes of Om? Is he in a position to save his home?
