Purani Jeans (2014)

Purani Jeans is a lighthearted comedy focused on the idea that friendship is like a good pair of jeans: the older they get, the better they get. This is the conviction that Siddarth Ray, the protagonist, has heard from his best friend Sam and realised as he travels from New York City to his birthplace, a small hill station in India, after a 12-year absence. The film is a coming-of-age story that portrays the pain and joy of youth while rediscovering friendship and love bonds. The story depicts a memorable period in a young person's life when they develop enviable bonds of friendship, confidence, jealousy, excitement, envy, and love when grappling with issues such as distant parents, broken hearts, and the stresses of growing up.
