Revati (2005)

The tale of a renegade garbage collector in Bombay, India's slums. She wishes for basic luxuries such as a bath and proper clothing to cover her body. She gets her chance one day through a Bombay drug smuggler and soon discovers that all that glitters is not gold. Revati is a survivor who maintains a sense of humour about her situation, whether it's a drug lord, a killer, a rapist, or the justice system. Revati depicts a woman's struggle to maintain her morality and integrity in a world that threatens to rob her of all she has in a variety of extreme situations. Revati isn't afraid to stand out and obey her own set of rules. Will she be able to win while staying moral? Can she make it?
