Rough Book (2016)

Rough Book takes a critical look at India's education system today. Despite being one of the best systems in the world, the system's flaws have caused problems. The story is told through the eyes of Santoshi Kumari, a teacher who overcomes a divorce from a crooked income tax officer to become a Physics teacher in a school. Her students are in the D division, which is sarcastically referred to by both students and other teachers as Duffers. The story of Santoshi's battle against the system to fight for her students is conveyed in a straightforward yet thought-provoking manner. The teacher's and her students' rebellion is internalised to prove their case.
