Stop! (2004)

Sonis, Tina, Om, and Puja are four friends who live together in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Puja acts as a host on Radio Hum, Tina as a stage performer, Sonia as a boutique owner, and Om as an office worker. Although the four appear to live a carefree and modern lifestyle on the surface, they each have several flaws in their armour. Puja wants to host her own show, which she wants to call "Puja at 8," but she will have to compromise and spend a night with her boss in order to do so; at the same time, she has promised her conservative Indian-based parents that she will meet and marry Rahul; Tina's skeleton in the closet is her alcoholic father, who is constantly asking for money; while Tina would prefer to avoid him and never see him again, she is forced to deal with him when he unexpectedly shows up at their home; Sonia's only male client, Rohit, thinks she's attractive and wants to marry her; however, Rohit is a womaniser, and his affairs usually last only a few nights; Om had a crush on Shama in India, but she married Pawan. Shama and her daughter are now in Dubai, where they are about to rekindle their love for each other, unaware that Pawan is on his way there as well. On New Year's Day, the lives of these four friends may come to a head, and they will discover that their paths may diverge, and their friendship will come to an end!
