Superstar (2008)

If you have a dream, protect it even from yourself.......!! Superstar is an action drama focused on the film industry's reality. Choices are the most critical part of life. Kunal (Kunal Khemu) epitomises today's youth. He takes a chance. Dares to dream of one day making it big in Bollywood. Kunal Mehra a wannabe actor against the wishes of his Dad Mr Purabi Mehra (Sharat Saxena) and unconditional support and love of his mom (Kusum) desperately tries to find a place in Bollywood. He has a great network of friends who believe in him and respect his abilities. Mausam (Tulip Joshi), his childhood friend, has been secretly in love with him since he was a teenager. Kunal commutes from his home in Borivali to Film City every day in search of one major role that will change his life. As debonair Karan Saxena (Kunal Khemu), the son of Bollywood's most powerful producer M G Saxena, arrives, his illusions are shattered (Darshan Jariwala). In his film "Superstar," M G Saxena introduces Karan as an actor. Karan is a non-performing actor who only cares about wasting money on girls and parties. He is unable to perform any of his stunts and he is unable to act. Kunal steps into Karan's shoes and flawlessly completes all of his stunts and scenes. Kunal also joins the team for filming in Bangkok. Kunal's life takes an abrupt turn when he and Karan are involved in an accident in Bangkok. In the tragedy, Karan dies, but Kunal survives. However, Kunal is mistaken for Karan. The news that Kunal died in the crash but Karan survived goes viral in the newspapers. The news has devastated Kunal's family and friends. Meanwhile, M G Saxena discovers that Karan has died and that Kunal has survived the crash. He does, though, make a bargain with Kunal to finish the film as Karan and live his life as Karan, enjoying the material world. Kunal, who had always desired this life, accepts the offer and withdraws from his family. What happens to the movie Superstar if Kunal is unable to live a glamorous life without the love of his loved ones? The rollercoaster climax will include answers to both of these questions.
