It has been eight years since John Biswas lost his granddaughter, Angela, in a tragic abduction that left him and his wife Nancy scarred for life. But, through the passage of time, John has not given up his stubborn pursuit of justice. He wants to go to the police station every day, where he is shunned and dismissed. Martin Das, an ex-cop turned priest, is the only one who can support him. He and John have one thing in common: Angela's death changed their lives forever. But then, one day, eight years after that horrific event, another abduction occurs, and all about it has echoes of Angela's kidnapping.
