The Disciple (2021)

Sharad Nerulkar has dedicated his life to being an Indian classical performer, a goal that few people achieve. His father initiated him into this centuries-old practise, and he pursues his passion with dedication and discipline, devoting his entire life to his artistic endeavour. Sharad traces his way through the hallowed mysteries and rituals of former musical heroes as he attempts to reach the pinnacle of his craft. Sharad will be forced to negotiate between the difficult realities of life in contemporary Mumbai and his chosen path as the years pass, forcing him to discover his true voice in music and life.
