The Fakir of Venice (2019)

For an installation art project in Venice, an Indian con man is hired to find a fakir who can bury himself in sand. He effectively dupes the European art world by passing off a bad slum dweller from Bombay as the real thing. It's the tale of an unusual friendship. A romance between two characters who are brought together to commit a fraud. To pull it off, they'll have to learn to peel back the layers of deception and gain a better understanding of themselves and each other.
