The Hangman (2010)

The Hangman, starring Om Puri, is about the trials and tribulations of a talented hangman, a man of values, who wishes to retire but is denied by the government because they need a replacement. His wife (Smita Jaykar) despises this role, and he is a social outcast in the village as a result. Their only desire in life is for Ganesh, their only child, to have a better life (Shreyas Talpade). He turns to his neighbour, the jail warden (Gulshan Grover), for assistance, and he decides to assist his son in becoming a police officer.
