1h 42mins| Comedy, Drama | 21st October 2016

1975-1986, Jitvapur, India. Jitvapur is more than a dusty, small village in India. It is the birthplace of Udai, who left the town for a better life in America, or Umrika, as the locals refer to it. While Udai's younger brother Ramakant has no idea why America should be bigger and better, the letters Udai writes from afar cheer up Mother and Father, which is a welcome outcome. Ramakant lives a happy life, despite the fact that he is overshadowed by his adored yet absent brother. And tragedy hits when Father is killed in an automobile accident. Ramakant discovers clues that the letters from America may not be from America at all when rummaging through his belongings. Furthermore, Udai seems to have vanished. Ramakant sets out with his best friend Lalu to find Udai and bring him home, convinced that his mother could not survive the loss of both her husband and her favourite son. It's a journey to discover the life he's always assumed his brother was living, a life that now belongs solely to him. A day in the life in Umrika.
