Where's the Party Yaar? (2004)

Sunil Malhotra plays Harishkumar Satishkumar Patel, a geeky student from a small Gujarat village who is studying at the University of Houston while staying with his uncle (his father's best friend). His uncle, Dr. Bakshi, has an American-born son, Mohan Bakshi, who is Hari's age (Kal Penn). Mohan, or Mo, is a well-liked Indian student at UH. He shows Hari around the college but then avoids him due to Hari's nerdy behaviour. Hari, on the other hand, is too excited as a result of a holy man's astrological forecast. Hari will meet his Sapno Ki Raani (dream girl) in America, according to the popular astrologer, and her name will begin with the letter "P." Hari then meets and falls in love with Priya (Tina Cherian), a Malayali fashion student. Meanwhile, Mo falls in love with Janvi Valia (Serena Varghese), a Punjabi girl, but when Mo invites Janvi to a party, things don't go as expected. Mo discovers important things about his culture at the end of the film, and Hari overcomes his obstacles. This film is mainly a satirical depiction of young Indian Americans going about their daily lives.
